This series was made about 5 months into my stay in the West Bank after having spent several months between Nablus and Jenin, I decided to go to Bettlehem where I came in touch with organised groups of civilians operating inside the refugee camp of Dheisheh, among them the Medical Relief Society, groups of boys and girls who offer themselves as volunteer doctors to support the population during times of protests and clashes with the IDF. During that period it happened that the Israeli army conducted as usual several preventive operations, trying to imprison the leaders of the PFLP (Popular front for lib- eration of Palestine), from these frictions fatalities arise and to pay the price very often are the young people of the refugee camp as witnessed by the data of recent years, 2022 was one of the deadliest of the last 15 years with over 220 deaths including 34 children, the majority of those killed are males under 18 years old. Young people full of hope for the future who very often find death in the alleys of what is home for them.
